What is the HOOMSOINS™ System for Women?
The HOOMSOINS™ System is a non-invasive option to managing urinary incontinence. The system consists of the HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System pump and an attached female external catheter, each purchased separately or as a Starter Set. For women, you can choose the HOOMSOINS™ Flex Female External Catheter or the HOOMSOINS™ Female External Catheter. The female external catheters are designed to work outside the body to draw voided urine away, helping to keep skin dry.
What is the HOOMSOINS™ System for Men?
The HOOMSOINS™ System is a non-invasive option to managing urinary incontinence. For men, the system consists of the HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System pump and the HOOMSOINS™ Male External Catheter, each purchased separately or as a Starter Set. The system works outside the body to draw urine away, helping keep skin dry.
Where does the urine go?
The HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System pump draws voided urine through the collector tubing into the collection canister.
How much urine can the collection canister hold?
The HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System 2000cc (ML) canister should be emptied before volume reaches 1800cc (ML), or as needed.
Can I use the HOOMSOINS™ System on my own?

I've never used the HOOMSOINS™ System before. What system should I order?
The HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection Starter Set includes everything you need to get started.
Please note that the FM07 model does not include a built-in battery and requires continuous power supply to operate. All other HOOMSOINS™ models come equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery.
Is this the same system used in the hospital?
The HOOMSOINS™ Flex Female External Catheter, the HOOMSOINS™ Female External Catheter and HOOMSOINS™ Male External Catheters are used in hospitals today. The HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System pump is for home use only.
Is the HOOMSOINS™ System quiet?
Yes, the catheter system will stay quiet when no urine is present.
Does the FM07 model have a built-in battery?
No. The FM07 model does not have a built-in battery and must be connected to a continuous power source to operate.
All other HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System models are equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery. The battery takes approximately 3 hours of continuous charging to reach a full charge. Once fully charged, it can support normal device operation for up to 2 weeks.
Why would I need a HOOMSOINS™ System with the battery option?
Models equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery provide added convenience during power outages or when a power outlet is not nearby. Once fully charged, the battery can support normal device operation for up to 2 weeks.
Please note that the FM07 model does not have a built-in battery and requires continuous power to operate.
Can I use the HOOMSOINS™ System while it's charging?
Yes. On models equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery, the system can be used while the battery is charging.
The FM07 model does not have a built-in battery and must remain connected to a continuous power source to operate.
How does the battery charge?
For models equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery, the battery recharges whenever the device is connected to a power source.
It takes approximately 3 hours of continuous charging to fully charge the battery. Once fully charged, the battery can support normal device operation for up to 2 weeks.
The FM07 model does not include a built-in battery and therefore does not have a charging cycle. It requires continuous power supply to operate.
Do I have to keep the HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System in a specific location?
The HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System should be kept on a flat surface. The HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System able to fit on most nightstands and tables. It should be kept in close proximity to you while sleeping.
Does underwear fit over the HOOMSOINS™ Female External Catheter?
Yes.
Can the HOOMSOINS™ Female External Catheter be reused?
The HOOMSOINS™ Female External Catheter is available in both single-use and reusable versions. Single-use catheters should be replaced at least every 8 to 12 hours or sooner if soiled with feces or blood. Reusable catheters can be used multiple times, but must be cleaned and disinfected according to the provided care instructions after each use.
Can I sanitize and reuse my HOOMSOINS™ Male External Catheter?
The HOOMSOINS™ Male External Catheter is available in both single-use and reusable versions. Single-use catheters should not be sanitized or reused — replace at least every 8 to 12 hours or sooner if soiled with feces or blood. Reusable catheters are designed for monthly use and should be cleaned and disinfected according to the provided care instructions before reuse.
How many HOOMSOINS™ Female External Catheters do I need?
HOOMSOINS™ Female External Catheters are used one at a time and should be replaced at least every 8 to 12 hours or sooner if soiled with feces or blood. The amount you need to order will depend on individual usage. For example, if you plan to use the HOOMSOINS™ System only at night while sleeping, you will likely use one HOOMSOINS™ External Female Catheter per day.
How long is the electrical cord on the HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System?
The HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System has a 12-foot electrical cord.

How much suction is coming from the HOOMSOINS™ Urine Collection System?
Approximately 120 mmHg to 140 mmHg.
How often do you need to replace the parts?
We advise changing the tubing and urine container each month.

How often should I clean the canister and tubing?
The collection canister, canister lid, collector tubing, and pump tubing should be cleaned and disinfected after every 2–3 uses.
How can I test my System's suction?
